Our monthly readings take place on Sundays afternoons in the banquet room of the Flying Bridge restaurant (check out the view), overlooking the mouth of the San Luis Rey River, the Oceanside Harbor, Harbor Beach, and the Pacific Ocean.
We start at 3pm with a featured poet, then have an open mike reading - usually 2-3 times around the room - until about 5:30pm. All are welcome to read their own poems, read some favorite poems, or just sit and listen. Readings are free and open to the public.

After the reading everyone is invited to join the featured poet and others for no-host food, drink and conversation in the dining room with a view. Among other things, the restaurant has "early bird" dinner specials until 6pm.
LOCATION: Flying Bridge restaurant, 1105 N. Coast Highway, near I-5, Coast Highway exit, in NW Oceanside, California. Take I-5 to the Coast Highway exit, follow the signs to Coast Highway, then turn right (north) on Coast Highway. The Flying Bridge shares a parking lot with the Guesthouse Inn.

Poetry Reading for Students K-12
Sunday afternoon, April 27, 2008
To celebrate National Poetry Month, Sunset Poets will hold a special poetry reading for all students K-12.
We’ll begin at 3 pm with the youngest poets, working our way up to 5th Grade around 4 pm.
After a short break, we’ll start again with 6th Grade around 4:30 pm and work our way up to 12th Grade.
